Locum Internist Position at the Dubai Equine Hospital

We are looking for a locum internist at the Dubai Equine Hospital to cover in house internal medicine cases between the months of May through September 2024 (5 months).

We are a full service equine hospital, 1 internist, 3 surgeons and a lameness specialist assisted by 6 in-house interns and approximately 25 field veterinarians. We have all the toys (ultrasound with cardiac probe, 3 m endoscope, digital x-ray, robotic CT, standing MRI, Scintigraphy etc).

The position would require to participate in shared emergency coverage during some nights and weekends.

The months for the locum coverage is outside of our regular racing season, and the caseload during those months are mainly emergency medicine cases (pneumonias, neurologic horses, cardiac cases, occasional foals, eyes and lots of colics). Ideally we are looking for a board certified person (ACVIM or ECEIM) but a resident who finished their training could work as well, as long as they are confident, can work independently and do well under stressful situations. Being confident managing eye cases is a must.
