User account acces and lists of Supervisons

Acces to user account pages

All members (Resident and Diplomates) now have access to other members user account pages. That page only shows to other members:

• The username.
• The user picture.
• A list of all the profiles (Resident, Diplomate, Institute etc.) that user has.
• Lists of all the Residents a Diplomate supervises.

Actual access to specific Profiles and forms is still restricted.

This change helps Supervising Diplomates to see more relevant information about their Residents under supervision.
It also helps Residents to find each other.
In a next release the user page will also have a link to a personal contact form to send an email to that user without revealing that user's email address. If you do not want that, you can disable this form. More about this later...

Search and Help

In the top bar you now find an icon that leads you to a search page. You can do a full text search through all publicly accessible content.

It also has an icon that leads you to the help section. The old link to the help section in the user menu has been removed.

Resident Supervisor

Almost all forms Residents can use have a field to add a Supervising Diplomate. Now you can add more than one Supervisor.
The select list is changed from usernames to the diplomate real names.
And the field is now mandatory.  That might prevent you from saving any change you want to save. Just add your supervisor and you can save.

List of changes

The website now lists functional changes made to the website. This change you are reading is the first one published.
This can help users to understand the way this website works. And it helps maintainers to keep track of what has been changed and why it was changed.
