This list is updated by the ECEIM Education and Credentials Committee annually. Please make sure you are using the latest copy of the list.
The following Journals are considered acceptable to the Education and Credentials Committee for the purpose of Diplomate evaluation or re-evaluation on the basis that these journals have been awarded an Impact Factor of 0.5 or greater in the Journal Citation Reports 2004.
Where a journal with an impact number of greater than 0.5 but not listed on the current approved journal list is utilized for the purposes of Diplomate evaluation or re-evaluation, the candidate or Diplomate must submit a copy of its citation index page available from the journal or at http://jcrweb.com. Journal Search page.
To add a journal to this list, two Diplomates must nominate the journal and attest that the journal has a rigorous review process including at least two independent scrutineers and that the quality of veterinary science published in the journal is high. Information on the current Journal’s impact factor will be helpful. This information should be submitted to the Chairman of the Education and Credentials Committee before 30th June each year.
